It starts off at Eloise's house where the two girls take advantage of Mary Jan's little time off work to just chat. Mary Jane says, "she didn't have the whole day off, just her boss was sick and had to do a couple chores for him",(Salinger 19). next, they engage in social conversation in the living room over some wine for a while as Eloise came in and out of the kitchen for more wine.Joining their conversation enters Eloise's daughter Ramona as her and the girls talk about her imaginary friend Jimmy. after she leaves to go back outside, the girls heat up their talk a little too much and as a result, Eloise starts to cry and Mary Jane calls it a night." Eloise left the living room and climbed the stairs,"(Salinger 36) as she makes her way to Eloise's room to tuck her in bed which concludes Uncle Wiggily in Connecticut.
